Question Auto Show VIP Preview & Reception

Anyone else going Thursday night? Don't think I'll be able to use all my drink tickets.

If I want to see nice cars I'll wander around the auto circle. Car show is blah

Just back and enjoyed the Exotic, classic and dealer booth sports car stuff. BMW 760 now available with a twin turbo V12. Wouldn't mention it but they started it up and, well, the more cylinders the better the sound. Crowd around the V12 but no one paid any attention to the 7 series hybrid offering. Mid engine 991 there but of course they didn't have it opened up so you could see the motor. Panamara with 991 butt now much more attractive. Not sure how they sell Suby BRZ and Mazda MR5 when you can get a base 370Z V6 with 60% more hp for the same price. Best part was the Canadian F1 historics display...oh, ya and the free drinks. Ran into Jeff Segal. Says hi. Wants to buy your air kooler.

The show is indeed pretty boring..It was my first time going on the media day, and first time going in like 10 years. Side note, how do the droves of zitty teenagers get in on Media day? LOL...

Agreed, the Porsche booth is not very exciting. Though the Cup Car is a nice preview of what the new 991.2 GT3 front fascia will look like on the production car.

That Pfaff Singer spec....good thing it was displayed in awful lighting to hide the hideous colour choices...

Drive them back to to back at the track, and you'll see why

I stopped going to the auto show a long time ago. If I want to see a new car (rarely happens since I know how to fix old ones), I go to the dealership or check them out at the junkyard when they come in all banged up. BUT might go this year so the little guy can see it at least once.

The whole point is the VIP evening. Dozens of free bars and food buffets. No kids. I think the young lad enjoyed the revealing evening gowns as much as the cars! Try and find an industry type who can get you in. Way more fun. Only downside is you must wear a suit.

Hoping this is sarcasm.

I was there on media day as well and wondered the same.. All those kids had proper credentials. One girl was live blogging begging people to like her live stream. I guess you just need to be a lifestyle blogger, trendsetter or whatever.

My buddy and I went down and they still seemed to be setting up most displays . The lighting in the exotic section was HORRIBLE. Oh well got my free drinks, breakfast and lunch.

I guess Tweens are becoming a popular market segment so they can ask their parents for $80,000 cars as their first car.

So I went to the show. Porsche booth was pretty boring.
To even get a poster on Monday, you had to line up for an autograph. No thanks.

The half & half Audi was a good display of street vs race car.
Also in attendance were Toyota's Leman's car and Jaques & Gille's Villeneuve's F1 cars.

Coolest thing I to me was running into my brother the Storm Trooper at the Nissan booth. 400 Special Edition Rogues with matching Death Trooper helmets.

I went to VIP night as well.
free parking- cool
Drink tickets - didn't use them all

Nothing inspiring. I just go with a couple of friends to catch up.
Of all the exotics, the GT4o was the one I appreciated the most.
I was a little disappointed that all the posches were locked
