This clay bar method looks pretty safe.

I'm using a foamy ammonia cleaner by simoniz for the inside of the windshield. Key is to use a MF towel to apply and a 2nd one to buff. You have to buff until the towel on the glass actually squeaks, or else my 45 year old eyes start seeing halos from oncoming headlights.

My morning commute is pretty much in the dark with a line of headlights coming at me.

I was using a simple green glass cleaner that is labelled safe for tint, but doesn't work well enough on the windshield....

Rainx wiper fluid cut in half with plain blue wiper fluid for the outside.

I use this kit and coat the windshields as well.

Seems to work pretty well! I was also able to polish out a minor stone chip on the windshield.

The outside is a breeze, the steal wool and clay bar methods are new to me. The Mr Clean pad on the inside looks like a great way to get through a 'pain in the *** job'

Windex Wipes are great to clean the inside of the glass.

+1 on the RainX washer fluid, I buy it by the case for our DD.

Invisible Glass works better than Windex in my opinion, it's a little more but does a great job.
