Curious, what's involved?

Its a fun run put on by niagara PCA , http://niagarapca.org/event/view/1092/ , we already were planing a trip and i spotted this and thought it might be fun. It will be our first PCA event so I just thought I see if anyone else from the area was going.

Niagara PCA are a US group no ?
I know the PCA UCR region restricts entrants with sign ups etc for insurance reasons I think so you cant just " come along" I think you are wait listed.

Maybe US regions are different ?

I have already been in contact with the organizers. They are a pca group and they have welcomed us no problems. In fact the response was " the more the merrier". There is also a breakfast put on by the porsche dealership there for everyone.

We are going to try to hit the run on the 16th coming back.

Niagara PCA has an open invitation to UCRPCA members and guests for their Rochester New York Chili run Oct 15, Breakfast at 8:30 at Rochester Porsche/Audi, 9:3o run to Letchworth State Park in the finger lakes area, thru the park and lunch at 1-3.

We are heading to the Newyork niagara wine region on the 14, in the morning ending near Rochester to attend this event. After the event we will tour the region towards buffalo where we will stay over. Sunday morning we hit the WNY Exotics cars n coffee at 9 am time permitting then on to St Catherine's for the Rennlist Fall tour if its on

I will almost certainly attend as I've wanted to check out Letchworth Park for a while now and this will be a great opportunity to do so.

Does anyone have the details on the Buffalo departure for this event? I have contacted the organizers but haven't heard back yet.

Thank you for the heads up on the Cars & Coffee event on Sunday. We'lll try to check that out as well.

That's a strikingly different attitude between the Niagara region and UCR.

I don't buy the line about "insurance" - why would you need to insure a fun run? Everyone has their own car insurance. Certainly I'm not concerned about it one iota when organizing our rennlist drive.

Sounds like a great event.

In contrast UCR is full of crap. Largest growing region for last year and they can't even do a concours for 2016.

I'm not saying it is definitely for insurance. Just what I heard. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it has something to do with the fact they are a chartered club ? Who knows.

I have been attending Niagara events for well over 10 years.They put on some of the best Porsche events I have ever attended and are very hospitable. Planned on attending Chilli run again this
year but unfortunately have to attend a funeral for a friends brother. You won't be disappointed, say hello to Rich and the gang . Enjoy. (Letchworth is beautiful especially at this time of year.

ps; No problems with event insurance if you are a paid up PCA member, which is a requirement as it is a PCA (Niagara) event. ( Believe you have to register by Oct 7th) / Take US$ cash for park entrance
