By any chance does anyone weld aluminum on here? Need to get a couple of small cracks repaired on a intake y-pipe I bought, in hopes of making the cruise on sunday. Thought it was perfect, but when it arrived from ebay, was not.

Thanks for the offer, but yes that's a bit far unfortunately... I'm in Mississauga. I know if a few welding shops, but no idea if they work on Saturdays and/or squeeze in a few welds.

These cast manifolds are pretty fragile!! What appeared to only be scrapes on the exterior was enough to crack on the inside of the manifold. Thankfully the seller refunded my money.

Just use one of those raw ruber tales where the cracks are to seal it up and that will be good for the drive. I think one brand of it is Magic Wrap.
Then again the amount of unfiltered air that might come through those cracks is insignificant. I would I wory about it.
