Yes, but not at Mosport.....but I WAS there y-day and you couldn't have asked for a better day--perfect weather, no incidents that I know of and TWO personal best laps on the day! Won't be forgotten any time soon
Wishing you the same--

Learning to "watch" or "read" for traction while keeping your head up is important. Don't do anything when crossing on the shiny parts. Maintain throttle and keep steering as straight as possible when crossing shiny parts. If you can't see the shiny parts, assume that the standard line in the corner is the shiny part. General rule for the wet line is: inside-outside-inside; the opposite of the dry line. Take it slow in the wet line, and gently increase you speed as you get used to the wet line and the traction.
Once you learn to read traction, you will be surprised how fast you can drive on a wet track without having to be the re-incarnated Colin McRae. This totally transfers to dry, but is not taught because it's too much for early drivers to handle. Rain slows everything down and teaches you to read the track for traction by eyes, and bum. Best skill to learn!!
Just take it easy, don't get cocky, and slow down on the straights... most wet accidents happen because you carried too much speed into the corner, or got on the throttle to aggressively and early on exit. There is no prize for winning a DE. Stay slow well before the corner, and work on building your speed. Keep distance from other cars.
Relax your grip!!! Most people tighten up in the rain. You almost have to be more relaxed in the rain. If your grip on the wheel is too tight you will crash... let the car breath and guide it through the wet.
You will learn more in one session of a wet track than a whole weekend on dry!

I've found that Mosport is actually pretty grippy in the rain now with the improvements they've made, so that'll help some.....thankfully it's not Mid-Ohio which is a death trap in the wet.

Mid Ohio has lot of grip off the dry line. Also much better track for the rain because it is not a high speed track like Mosport. I enjoy Mid Ohio in the wet, with the slower speeds and even enjoy driving the dry line and drifting the car through out the tight corners because of the slower speeds. I would never attempt it at Mosport even at reduced speed the corners are still way to fast for cornering grip and not enough track to allow it to slide. If your on the wet line there is absolutely no track left for any catching it. Which is why I usually keep unloaded wheels on the dry line and don't use the standard wet line that is taught.
