Safe parking in Vancouver (buying a car out of the province)
Hi,
I'm buying a car (Non PCar this time) and I won't be able to make it to Vancouver before the seller leaves for a trip. I'd get the transfer/tax form sent out to me with registration & keys), fly in to Vancouver, pick up the car, register (temporary operating permit) and head back to Quebec.
Anyone from Vancouver have advice on a safe place to park a car for 5 days? Was maybe thinking about park'n fly.
Looking for ideas.
Thanks!

Park and fly is great. go to the valet lot A little mnore money but very much worth it.
What kind of car is it?
Just make sure the owner lets them know you are picking up the car. But the car will have to be licensed and insured to park there.

si2t3m,
Will you be driving the car back to Quebec or do you have shipping arranged?
The Park and Fly is safe. Just make sure you have all the arrangements in place with the folks there but in case you did not know, it is an open lot, so the car will be exposed to the elements (if this is of any concern to you.)
If you need temporary insurance, registration etc. I have leads to a good, reliable and mobile insurance agent who can help facilitate this for you. Feel free to contact me.

It's just for a couple of days! Park'N Fly it will be.
Will be driving back with temporary operation permit (15 days).

You can always pay a bit more and park it in the underground parking lot too. I've parked there plenty of times during business trips. Saves the hassles of waiting for the shuttle bus and of course parked out in the sun etc.
