Did I miss the story of why it's called the Final Drive? Laurance, was this John Lee's old 993?

They call them "final drives" because they're in theory the last road test - all of the final drives are of cars that are no longer on sale, but have some sort of significance to the writer.

No, it isn't John Lee's old car. His had a black interior, sport seats, and way fewer miles...

Laurance great article, although I am feeling pretty melancholy now that mine is gone albeit to a very good home. Trust we will see you out to a few gatherings this year.

What are prices for a car like that these days?

obviously the TT's have gone bananas.
