Default 2016 Audi R8

Definitely liking the restyle but since there's only a choice of two V10's, I think a rename is in order.

Hmmmmmm... more blocky... not so sure from my vantage point... to me the beauty of the styling of that car is how it flowed...

No manual. No skill required. No fun. I'd take an old one.

The inter-generational sameness of the 911 is kind of a running joke but this is even more extreme. If you didn't know better you'd think it was a mid-cycle refresh.

There's a neat slider that you can drag which really shows how little changed.

that's exactly what i thought. that's the ALL-NEW r8?

i actually dont think this revision makes the car more timeless at all... it looks very transformers-ish.

It is based on the Huracan which has no MT so of course there is no MT. No Maclaren/Ferrari/Lambo/911 turbo/918 spyder etc has a MT. Why would Audi spend on the developement of a MT? It's a business decision based on efficiency. Can't wait to hear how Ronan enjoys a dual clutch auto in the RS. In 5 years there won't be any posts on MT. If you have one and love it I would suggest keeping it forever.

When I saw the picture in the link, I honestly wondered if my screen resolution was messed up or something happened with the browser.

I was an Audi fan... then something happened... I dunno... They just seem to be missing soul or purpose these days. Losing interest in the BMW line lately also... They owe me an apology for even thinking the X6 should be built!!! ;-)

(I know, I know... they are playing to the market...)

I think it looks like an overweight TT coupe, the rear end is ok but the front = way to tame. Huge fan of the original version, new not so much.

I don't understand the negativity....the bloody car is gorgeous....more so than the 991 in base form.

Agreed! When the R8 first came out, I was so skeptical about the proportions of the car with the "blade" element. It took me a bit to get used to it...now that it's evolved and the blade is missing the car looks so big and bloated.

I'm sticking to Porsches!

I loved the original, and think the new version looks great too. No complaints here!

next door neighbour has a white V10 spider with MT a couple years old and it looks and sounds awesome. Great car for driving on streets.
