I drove one a couple months ago, it was actually pretty damn quick and handled well.. The interior was a tad on the cheap side for Porsche standards though.

and fuel consumption is not really any better then a Cayenne.

I thought about one to replace my Cayenne but I only see the advantage that the Macan fits in tighter spaces better. The Cayenne's off road and towing capabilities are greater. The Macan is not significantly priced much lower and I don't see much point in it.

I like the fact they are smaller and come with pdk but everthing else about it, is on the downside including fuel consumption.

+1 also thought the same thing and came up with those points... Just not practical enough. Good for Barbie I guess.

I had my brother-in-laws S out last weekend.
Goes like stink and handles really well. I'm sure much better once the warm weather arrives.
I found it nicely appointed and the craftsmanship pretty good.
Maybe a bit small for me since I've been in a 4Runner for so long but ample space for two people with gear although I'd be hesitant to put my canoe on the roof.LOL.

It is a competitive segment size wise and the price when decked out (his was well over 70k) may be it's only hindrance for some

I hv never thought of it as a chick car. In fact, I think women prefer cayenne bc they like it bigger.
