I understand that is Bamber, who was to be a LMP1 Factory works driver.... wonder if he's worried about that prospect now...

I am not going to be a popular person for this opinion... I do believe the 911 car should have been more cautious before diving into the corner. He could have avoided the whole incident if he was paying attention to the car on the grass.

If this was a sprint race, I would be more understanding... but in an endurance race, you give the mistakes room so they don't turn into problems like this.

Have I ever been in a similar situation? YES! Often in my brief amateur racing. One time in particular, coming out of 10 at Mosport, captain overdrive tried to pass on the outside right in front of me... If I went full throttle out of the corner, I would have been involved in a multi-car pile up... but seeing the obvious up coming event, I backed off, and avoided the 2 soon to be crashing cars.

Yes, the 912 car was stupid to keep racing while on the grass... but the 911 made a stupid situation worse by not paying attention to his environment.

Why? Ugh... I was in the mood for a meaningless Internet argument that escalates into name calling, a comparison to Hitler, and finally somebody saying: "I live in {insert place}, anytime you are in the area, drop by and we will settle this in person!"

I also agree. I live in Toronto, anytime you are in the area, drop by and we can agree in person.

Dont you think you would have a tough enough time seeing the guys come at you from the black stuff? im not sure he would have even seen that car flying across the grass on his rear quarter as he is concentating on the guy in front of him and turned in ...

" hmmm... i wonder where that car went ..... POW " .

The 912 car was clearly in front when he was off roading. The 911 car would have seen it 'flying across the grass' in front of him prior to the turn in.
