Default Ghost Clutch

Guys (and girls)... I am wondering if you know how long I will continue to ghost clutch? I love driving my C350 Sport. It's no p-car, I know that, but I have fun.... However, twice now in the same number of weeks, I have lifted my left leg and tried to press in the clutch while downshifting. But, there is no clutch pedal in my car!! GHOST CLUTCH!!! AAAAAAhhhhhhh!!!

Will it go away?

Wow...to say an AMG is a POS....you must have some pretty high standards.

Wanted a 991 at the time, but a moment of weakness at MB dealer....shiny C63 in showroom. Quick deal and I regretted it every day!! Drove from Niagara to London and watched the gas guage move all the way there. 3 tanks of gas to go to London and back!!! It was such a pig on gas. Had to drive in Sport Plus and manual mode for any enjoyment....hence the gas consumption. Had it for sale within 2 weeks of buying it and had a guy from Quebec buy it cash on the spot. Proceeded with the car (991) should have bought......paid too much idiot tax on that one!
I think (wink wink) I am saving enough in gas to pay for the difference in car prices. The 991 sips fuel compared to the fire breathing motor in the AMG.

I seriously considered a CPO C63... The purchase price wasn't the deciding factor. I thought about the gas usage, and the overall practicality of the car, and my conclusion was that it would be more sensible to pay a stripper to punch me in the face once a week. The C350 fits my needs very well... okay... fine... I still need a Porsche however...

Every time I hop into an automatic. Ghost clutch happens.

C63 really that bad on gas compared to the porsche? what kind of mpg/ l/100km?
The sound they make. omg Thats almost worth the half a tank of gas for one rev.

I was getting 175-200 klms per tank (no lie) fire breathing motor wants 94 octane. Sucks it back in town like Gatorade. Tank was around 60 liters to fill (I don't go below 1/4 tank)

991 I am getting 400-450 klms to tank, motor still wants 94 octane, 60 liters to fill again I don't go below 1/4 tank

I drive 600-1000 klms per month on average, C63 $ 425.00 per month in gas, 991 $ 170 per month in gas.....savings 250 bucks a month.... $ 3000 per year in gas for just normal in town, go to work, few errands.

If I took a hwy trip....C63 maybe squeak out 275 klms, 991 can get 600 klms easy....even more savings.

Just my experience, maybe how I drive, maybe my luck. The C63 was an impressive car with so much HP 6.3 liter normally aspirated engine, had the power upgrade, all the goodies you could get in a AMG, but It had to go!!

Here is the C63 BEAST !!

Love the blue one! I ghost shift for more than two months when I put away the car and bring the outback into service.

Maybe that will settle down now with the PDK in the 991.
