Oh no, that's terrible. It was great to see everyone here rally around him, and in as much as psychology and positive vibes can help, I think we did. This is awful to hear.

Rest in peace Jaak. I saw this thread this evening and read every page sequentially from the beginning. Really did not expect things to turn for the worst, his optimism was inspirational. Condolences to his family as well.

Thoughts and prayers to his family. He's in good hands now and no longer suffering.
Rest In Peace Jaak.

Very unexpected, terrible news.. Seemed like his plight was going to have a positive ending. He fought a courageous battle. RIP. He was a great inspiration to the many well wishers here.

Just wounded by this news.
Last heard from Jaak over 2 weeks ago and had thought he was progressing in his battle.
He was also a regular at the 905 Group GTG's.
Jaak, you will be missed.

I never had the chance to meet Jaak in person, but this thread provided insight into the amazing man he was. Inspirational perseverance to the end!
RIP Jaak, and condolences to his family and close friends.

Shocking.
All the times I clicked on his thread he always appeared to be kicking it's ***.
RIP Jaak.
It's now time to drive your Porsche like you stole it.

This is incredibly sad news. Unfortunately, my only interaction with Jaak was through reading his posts, including this extremely emotional thread, but he appeared to me as a tenacious fighter and an upstanding human being. I hope he is in a better place.

Forgive me, but this just sucks.
I too never met Jaak but came to "know" him through the forum...there was some commonality in our lives in that we were close in age, had both recently retired after long job tenures, and were both cancer patients. With the grace of God, as well as the power of modern medicine, I was able to beat mine and have been healthy for 23 years.....though there were setbacks, through the tone of his most recent posts I really though Jaak had turned the corner.
Not much else to say except to wish his family all the best as they navigate through this. RIP Jaak.....
