Default Salt Stains

I've got some salt stains on the carpet around the rubber mats in my daily driver. Any suggestions for removal? A quick on-line search suggests a water / vinegar mixture but I'm worried it will stink. Canadian Tire sells a "Salt Eraser" foam that seems to get mixed reviews.

Thanks.

Half water half vinegar does work. It removed 5 year old salt stains on my last truck.
The smell isn't that bad. You will crave fish and chips though.

Once the stain is out, I'd recommend some weathertech floor liner mats.

Take it to Super Carwash in Milton, they built their own salt blaster that removes the salt from the carpet it seconds. The owner is a RL memeber.

Great idea! Worked all the way through the internet... I picked up some fish n chips on my way home after reading this.

To the OP. I have used the foaming Oxy clean with positive results as well.
