Default Help! Curbed wheel and no one can fix it

Hi all,

I just curbed my brand new Bentley speed wheel at a Wendy's drive-through. I brought my wheel to Carcone at Aurora but they are not able to fix it.

Does anyone know some place in GTA that can refinish this wheel? I want to try to refinish it before getting a replacement rim costs an arm and a leg

Thank you!

+1. Doesn't look difficult to fix that.

Carcone doesn't weld or machine rims, but Precision RIM does. They are in North York. Remember to take the Bently hubcap off before you take it in and you may get a better price.

If you were on the West Coast, you could get this wheel easily fixed at Green's Automotive in Vancouver for around $250. Did my SportDesign rear wheel last winter with great satisfaction. Good luck!

Bummer. Curbing wheels is the worst feeling. Agreed with the others; the damage doesn't seem to be that bad.

Thanks all. The reason Carcone said they couldn't refinish it is because the finish is in "hypersilver" where the basecoat is black and the top coat is translucent silver. They said it is hard to match the colour. They don't want just touch up the wheel because they feel that it might peel.

@peterearnshaw,

Thanks. I just did a quick google about Precision RIM and this came up : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512279

"Union fixed my PIAA Super Rozza's without any issues. i wish i took my LM's to them to get done. Precision Rim Repair is so garbage, pls dont go there.
I almost went to Precision but i didnt like the guys attitude so i left lol. They also told me it would take 3 weeks lol."

Did you have any good experience with Precision RIM?

You could just have all 4 refinished. Car cones did my speedlines for $550 plus tax. Then they all match.

HI Adam,

The other 3 wheels are in perfect condition so I don't want to change the original finish. A new wheel costs about $1200 at Flyingspares.com so $550 seems a bit high if I refinish all 4...

Maybe a long shot, but have you checked the trunk?? always a chance the spare is mounted on a matching rim
