Default Top Speed @ Mosport

What's the Top speed people are reaching at Mosport...I have a friend who said he hit 265 K in his Porsche 996 TT...that's pretty fast...I think he is a little bit optimistic.

What do you think?......Do you think the GT3 can hit 250k ?

If he did hit 265 kph, did he have enough brake to make the right-hander at the end?

i would bet he is optimistic just because he would need a really good drive out of moss to get that and most guys with turbos run them fairly stock and the car would be plowing thru 5a and b. is the car stock? is he an excellent driver?. if its not set up right and he is not that great then 265 is optimistic
my GT3 hit 250 and my car is lowered, has -2.9 camber and pilot cups so its rocking thru moss.

I ride my GSXR1000 at Mosport and by radar they had me clocked at 248km/h up the back straight and the top speed of the whole day was 254km/h. I doubt if a Porsche can excellerate as well as a motorcycle up the back straight but unless he had it on radar I wouldn't believe it. You do have to slow down some before entering #8 and the straight is uphill as well. I've seen 600HP Porsche's reaching 160mph though. Anyway, radar doesn't lie....

drive out of 5 b is the key. i have gone 243 on my R6 racebike on radar. and 220 on my TZ250GP bike ( won that race in 2002 amateur)...superbikes hit almost 300. speedo on GT3 indicated
250, more than likely its close as the corner speed of the car is better, you can brake later so you can hold more speed. click here for me on 600 at tremblant

His TT was modified...575 HP, he also did some suspension work...shocks and springs...lowered..with MPSC.....but still 265

JLJ,
250 that's flying? I have not run at Mosport yet....

at Shannovile it was showing 202, on radar it was 194.

I think the only way to tell actual speed is with RPM"s.

With a 25.2" tire @ 7500 rpm you would be going 264 ....

if your in fifth gear doing 250 it would be 7080 rpm..
