I was told that it's best to bring to an independant Porsche shop rather than a dealership.
1) dealerships cost a bomb
2) dealerships tend to have only mechanics who are familiar with newer models.
thanks for the suggestions tho. Ironically, the 964 that i am interested at is from Pfaff. hahahah

I had a bad experience with Weltmeister.... My old 944 had a fuel line leak about 40 feet from his shop. He put it on the lift and told me that the only way to fix it is to buy a new fuel line form Porsche and have it installed. He then told me it would be very very expensive and probably not worth fixing at his shop. He tookthe car off the list and told me to leave his shop. I never said anything bad to him, I have never met him before, and Uwe was very rude and very unpolite. Every since that day I promised myself I would tell anybody who asked about this shop my experience.
I then got my car fixed at a Mr.Transmission for free!!! The helpfull person just patched the fuel line and sent me on my way. The fix held until I sold the car. Turns out the guy who fixed my car is now a very good friend who now owns a 951.
There are plenty of other good shops that know these cars... Try AutoSelect in Newmarket, G-Tek in Toronto, or Mantis in Oakville. They are all friendly shops I have had no problem with....
