951 Front Splitter
Anybody know where you can get a front splitter with the plastic under cover for the 951 here in Toronto?
I don't want the splitter from Rote either....

I got mine from AIR for $200US. Plus $80 for shipping. Don't know anyone who sells them in Toronto.

Steve at Rote Technology/Collision Networks has them for sale. He also has the adjutable 968 style rear soiler for 951s. Give him a call at 905-669-1665 and tell him that I referred you. He's got a nice 951, by the way.

Alon.... I had to laugh... My posting says specifically:
"I don't want the splitter from Rote either...."
Steve is a great guy, and the shop does excellent paint work, but I really don't like the style of the 968 wing and the front splitter he has.....
regards,
patrick

Sorry. I was responding to '86944Turbo's request as to where they are. Now I sound like a dummy. I didn't realize that there are different front splitters for the 951s.

Oh no.... I should have just kept my mouth shut.
Sorry I had a bad morning...... and you where correct to respond since 86Turbo said he doesn't know anybody in Toronto that sells them, and you then provided the information for him.
Also, there is a guy in Bolton that claims he sells the GT-Racing splitter http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/ but I have not met anybody who has done business with him and has something positive to say.
regards,
Patrick

So you see a potential victim for your displacement of anger? Nice guy you are. I know that I must be an easy target and stuff, dumb shmuck who spent 5 times as much as a 951 and it's not even faster than a well prepped 951, eh?
So is that what it's like on this forum?
You guys are trying to get rid of the 996 *****, eh?
Excuse me, I'm going to cry for a while. Maybe driving my wife's Jetta 1.8t will make me feel better.

We still respect the 996. If you want to trade me your 996 for my 951 just tell me.

Well, driving my wife's Jetta is depressing. I hate this whole "store the car for winter" crap. As far as trading. maybe we'll swap on the track next spring/summer if you go.

Don't be so sure!! A 951 can get really expensive to keep on the road. My friend had a lot of mods done on a car he purchased. It was scary fast, but then he blew a turbo, got it fixed, busted the tranny, got ti replaced and the headgasket blew becase of a faulty waste gate. He spent about the same as used 996 to get his 951 modified and then repaired. Poor guy.
I was unemployed this year so I have had my 951 parked since last October, I don;t feel sorry for you Alon!! ;-)
I am really looking to driving the 951 next year.... and hopefully see some of you guys at the track!

Rote is the name of a body shop in the Jane and Hwy 7 area in Toronto. Rote Technology to be exact. He has a version of the ever so populsr front lower spolier that many guys get for their 951s. If you're interested in what it looks like, check out www.pca.org/ucr and go to the classified section under cars for sale. There is always at least one that has that lower spoiler or something very close to it.
