Default New Zealand Durametric Pro Purchase - looking for a group willing to go shares.

Hi Folks

I'm planning to get a Durametric imported and am looking for people who would like to go shares in the tool - we can just send it around to members when they need it. Cheap way to get a really useful device. Price will be around 750 USD all up. I think I'd like to get 5-10 people? And only Kiwis please.
Have a look here to see what it can do: www.durametric.com

Pro version supports an unlimited number of vehicles as below:

2006-2012 Porsche Cayman (987)
2010+ Porsche Panamera (970)
•1 Adapter Cable (included with Pro kit option 1 & 2), for use on: older vehicles:

I was thinking about buying the enthusiast package anyway, so I'm in.

Also feel free to chime in if you already have a PRO unit that you'd be willing to "Rent" out to the folks, connected or not to the rennsport gruppe.

Good idea but too late for me because I bought a 2nd hand enthusiasts cable from Durametric a few months ago. Maybe there's other specialist tools we should group purchase. I was in a car club in the UK when I had my 911 and I remember using the club equipment like wheel alignment and pressure bleeders kits that I couldnt justify purchasing myself

Its a great idea Matt. I no longer have a Bosch ECU in my 911 so I run everything from a windows OS parralel console on an airbook.

Before that if I need the PST2 or similar panel I just stopped into CCS and hooked it up. Privileges of the 4m2 of tiled floor I own there I guess LOL!

However, as Im likely to end up with a later model 911 I would be happy to chip in if you can make the numbers work.

Just so you know, the Pro version also comes with a coding ability, have a look at the website if you're not sure what that is.

Right, lets go ahead with this guys - can you confirm if still keen and does anyone know if there are any travellers going to the US that we can use to bring it home? Or I'll use youshop.

I suggest that we let others (that we know) use it for a small fee 5-10 and courier back to a member if required. I will hold a small account for our buying and subsequent usage. We could use this small fee for free postage between us or something else?

Am keen.........CONFIRMED!
May be just best if whoever is holding it at the time pays courier or recipient re-imburses the holder?

Well, we'll be the guys that own the thing, and we will have paid the money for it so I would rather we get some benefit of that (i.e a little fee for non-owners - save us freight etc). It's not just a cheap obd reader it's an expensive and very versatile bit of kit and I don't want all and sundry to be able to use it and send it off wherever they like (unless they want to take the responsibility of replacing it if it goes missing). I would suggest if we started to get a bit of a surplus in the account we could give out XX free uses at a rennsport day or something.

Or XXX even better!

I could be in if another couple of people jump onboard too. I already have a half-way solution but the Durametric would be better.

Oops, missed the updates. I'm still definitely interested if we can get four people.
