Hi all
For the kiwis, where do you generally import parts from either UK and/or US and what companies do you generally use?
Cheers
Matt

1st preference has been Type 911 for me. Otherwise Design911. In the US Pelican or Sunset - but Sunset needs an e-mail enquiry - no online catalogue. UK prices have been consistently cheaper with Exchange rate but individual items do vary quite a bit so I tend to look separately each time.
Carnewal in Belgium is also great and had best prices for suspension bits recently. For some reason freight out of Europe was way cheaper than US - go figure!!

Thanks Mark, you guys have a massive selection and a very user friendly site. Only problem down here in NZ is the terrible freight charges from most sites. Do you guys have lower (slower) options on your site?

I have set myself an account with a NZ Post Youshop. You generally get the free postage to the YouShop post box in Seattle offered by the supplier. Then the rates YouShop offer are very reasonable. My last purchase was the inner and outer rubbers for the rear window. Cost me NZD21.00 postage. Arrived in 10 days. And I am rural post.

When the parcel arrives at YouShop they will email you. You declare the value, they transfer this to the Customs Note on the parcel. Customs don't chase anything under $500 for GST. And generally nothing under $1000.

I've used a similar service in the US for a few years now; www.shipito.com. Have sent many packages to myself, never had an issue. Postage rates are really good, and you can send to Oregon which means no US sales tax when you first purchase.
I'm looking at my first parts purchase from distant shores, which will most likely be a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports from Tire Rack in the US. Shipped from them is US$1533, which will be about NZ$2250 landed inc duty. Unsure if there's value in sending via Shipito. Would allow for manual declaration of value, and potentially cheaper shipping, but given the size and weight US$400 doesn't seem overly expensive for shipping costs?
