Chris, I was just on the website looking at registration stuff (just did my daily driver today and will do the wife's car next week) and the 20 year ban is still listed there. I do believe that if I have my facts correct, you may still be able to insure your car without registration. Since I personally find insurance folks a bit more 'with it' (the term is relative!) than the folks at registration you may get a clearer answer. Good luck - gorgeous looking ride you have there.
