Ummm.. I'm not sure of your question?
There were 3 folks - Ross, Charlie and myself - with Ross Parker being the most supportive off the list. Or maybe Charlie Kindel?? Anyway - it was "PorscheFans" back then that you asked about "defectors". In short - "defecting" was easy in March/April/May 1998, as PorscheFans was off-line more than on-line....
Ross, Charlie & I named the new site "PorscheList", which gracefully evolved to "Rennlist". Ross and Charlie helped "moderate" the 911 e-mail lists at the start, but dropped off shortly thereafter, given the size of the site and their personal lives.
When we announced "PorscheList" - I had 2000 folks on day two, or by May 31, 1998. You want me to name them?? But - here is a list of the original team - as we went from "concept" and into "announcement".... (the "*" designates the core Founders Group)

Damn, that "disgruntled list" seems like it was a loooong time ago. At least for me, it was a continent and a lot of cars ago. Having been Porscheless since moving to Canada, my persistance has helped me stick around and lurk for the past years as I wait for the right car to present itself to me.
John, belated congratulations to you and Jen - you deserve everything for the fine work you've done!!

Burning Brakes
I was one of those people that came from porschefans to porschelist. Was still around when it became rennlist. I think my handle was Nine44. I sold my 85.5 944 in 2001. I'll be looking for another Porsche late this year. Have no clue which directon I want to go. Caymen S or 993 or 996.
