Default Suspension for Tarmac Rally

Can anyone recommend the best coil overs for Tarmac Rally application based on experience? I'm concerned that my current race shocks are too hard and are going to have me flying all over the road.

Car's a 964 C2.

TIA.

ask for peter.

they can build you a set of shocks for tarmac rallying that will keep you on the road over all bumps and most important, confidence.

Respectfully, I'd stay away from hotbits. Their stuff is on the low end of acceptable in stage rally competition.

I'd contact proflex, they produce dampers for 996 and 997 GT3 rally cars built by future world, running all over europe.

Proflex and exe-tc are great dampers but are $$$ for somebody only doing one tarmac rally a year in a 964.

Hotbits has been tested and successful to all the abuse in targa newfoundland.

Hi Guys,

What suspension would you suggest for a 964 competing in off road rallies? Actually it is a desert raid. Remember that the ride height should be increased.

Thanks,
Pascal

Pascal, are you in Europe? If so I would contact Francis Tuthill. They have longtime experience building 911 Rallycars, for tarmac and events like the East African Safari...

Reiger in Germany is very good to deal with, small company and excellent customer service, and they have built many custom applications.

Proflex (above) as well.

I've just bought another car and it has Moton 3-ways in it. Does anyone know of anyone using them for Tarmac rallying? We're wondering if they'll have enough droop?

they wouldnt be valved the same way as rally shocks.... you are best to buy proper shocks for rallying for confidence in driving crappy roads.
