Getting too and from this extremely beautiful part of the world is one of the challenges that we have all had to face. Since the beginning of Targa we have been aware of the time and cost involved in towing cars to the event. Recognizing and accepting the principle that for the majority of our entries, tow time is time away from business and family, and tow time generally represents cost and inconvienience, we have worked to find an acceptable solution that would rectify this situation. As a result.......
We are pleased to announce that we are finalizing arrangements with East Can Transport Services Ltd. of St. John's who are automobile logistic specialists, to provide a Targa specific Auto Valet Service. They and their network of companies are now able to offer a timely shipping service to enable competitors to ship their cars to Targa and return at preferred and most competitive rates.
To accomplish this East Can is establishing a number of consolidation points at various locations in North America as gathering points for Targa cars. When finalized, the system will be similar to the following:
In the United States:
A South West point moving to North Central
A North Central point moving to Toronto
A South East point moving to North East
A North East point moving to Toronto
In Canada
Vancouver moving to Calgary
Calgary moving to Toronto
Toronto moving to Montreal
Montreal moving to St. John's
The following additional services will also be offered by East Can:
Parts shipping,
Vehicle storage on arrival in St. John's,
Vehicle detailing on arrival,
Owner pick-up in St. John's.

Just completed Targa newfoundland! the weather was great, the people were awesome and competition was strong. Well organized.
dropped a drive shaft half way through the week and went from top ten to last.
