Default dumb question - heat cycles and tire warmers

If you were doing a weekend DE, 4x runs a day, and you were to use tire warmers in between the runs, would that count overall as 1? Thus extending at least the cycles out of the tire, all else equal?

I thought of the same awhile back. Called and spoke with Hoosier about this and the answer was no. Heat cycles are more about friction and movement than heat.

Why would you need tire warmers?

The real reason for them is so when you leave the pits or grid your tires are up to temp, not needing warm up laps. The reason some folks get them is the improper thought that if a tire doesn't cool down it doesn't count t as a heat cycle

I thought that is what the out lap is for.

if you day is only 4 session, you need tgo find another organization to run with.
most slicks are good after 1-2 laps. it takes too long to put on and take off tire warmers.
