Default Drive and learn with Pobst, Levitas and Krause at VIR, Apr 10-11, 2017

Two Daytona 24 hour champions. Nationally recognized professional racers. Driving coaches for all levels of advanced drivers. The best data coaching and technology available.

This April Potomac-Chesapeake Audi Club is featuring a rare opportunity for Advanced Drivers, Instructors and Racers.

Randy Pobst, Peter Krause, and Michael Levitas will be our special guests at our annual Advanced Drivers' School education event on April 10th and 11th at Virginia International Raceway. Last year this was our most popular track event, so register nowas we expect to sell out quickly.

You can enjoy open track time with coaching and workshops from these world-class drivers and coaches. The event is open to solo run group students (DE3, Group B, Run Group 3, Intermediate solos, DE4, Group A, Run Group 4, Advanced, current Instructors, Run Group 5) and those with a current race license from an approved sports car racing sanctioning organization (e.g. SCCA, NASA, PCA, BMW CCA, IMSA, etc).

Registration is limited for this open track event, where participants will be able to go on and off track as they wish. Optional Workshops with Pobst, Krause, and Levitas will be spaced throughout the day to include topics related to:
  1. The many aspects of using data to improve driver performance
  2. How to diagnose handling and suspension issues
  3. The latest trends in pro car set ups
  4. The newest suspension hardware and technology
There is no other High Performance Driving Event quite like this!

Visit our website for more information and links to sign up. Check out all of our 2017 events while you’re at it, and hope to see you in April.

Sincerely,
Potomac-Chesapeake Audi Club

I'll be there along with other friends from the Northeast Porsche brigade.
Ended 2016 season at VIR, starting the 2017 season there.

This is a terrific event. It was a fun DE, but since it changed last year to a tick-tock open track event it's a 10/10. Signed up and coming down with a few buddies. Close enough to the Club Race in June that I may even remember whatever tweaks I learn.

Damn, what a great program, only wished I had not signed up to do a 2 day Viper ACR advanced racer program with Bondurant.

Looks great. Rick, thanks for the heads up. I'll be there. This Audi region is great group to run with.

No doubt that this is true!

but....since it's on Mon/Tues, a working schlep like myself has to weigh the pros and cons. Is a one-day registration option available?

Bump for this event. Registration is surprisingly light for this one. I ran with this group at their event last year and it was terrific. It's exactly what every advanced driver wants:
  • More track time than you can use
  • No-nonsense event organizers that know their stuff
  • A small group of experienced and courteous drivers to run with
  • Top shelf professional drivers/coaches offering advice
  • Excellent value
  • Virginia in April - hopefully 70's and sunny!

VIR is a long haul for many of us but this is an event that makes it worthwhile.

I REALLY wanted to go to this event but couldn't get out of work. Maybe I need to retire early...

I went
Got 8 laps in before my unused but still present a/c compressor seized, threw off the serpentine belt, and ended my event. 1500 miles round trip tow.
But I still got to sit in Peter's first presentation, which was wonderful.
Peter, you continue to amaze me with your contributions to our learning. Thank you, sir

Thank you, Rick! It was great to see the Northeast crowd turnout and we did have some very nice weather. Sorry for your misfortune and hope your travels were safe.

Thanks Peter
Trip home went fine, except for the flat trailer tire this morning. But I noticed it before leaving the hotel in PA and changed it with one of my 2 spares.
Car is already in the shop at SST and the a/c delete kit is due in tomorrow.
I will definitely return to this event next year.
