Default Race shocks for a modest budget

What is out there for 944 (SP-2) not to exceed $4,000 ? Using Koni now (SP-1), but feel they are not going to be competitive for SP-2. What do you guys like?

Second Jason at Paragon. He really understands shocks and has raced a 944 Turbo with Koni's for years.

Also keep your eyes out for some used components.

MCS are an excellent shock. Call them up and they will set them up for your car.

Kevin,

I picked up a set of used MCS prior to last season , made a big difference compared to the three year old used Konis i had on ...
Choosing the right springs can be a little tricky if you can't find lightly used ones ... had to spend an extra $700.00 because the P/O really messed up with the spring lengths and rates.
If you can afford new, save yourself the headache , either way the resale value will always be good !

Springs are cheap. I have about 6 sets plus the ones on the car. You can get quality shocks for about a hundred a set (50 a piece). They are quick to change for your track conditions.
