Here's a few of the basses I have although I've flipped a couple in the past 2 years since this was taken... I'll have to see if I have a guitar group photo and also something with guitar and amps (SVTs, Tweed Fenders, vintage Marshalls and a Trainwreck)

Driving and guitars are two of my biggest passions and favorite pastimes. Although my collection of guitars is very modest, I only have two models. But I'd like to buy an electric guitar and even looked through some reviews of new models on this source https://www.guitarguide.xyz/the-best...chorus-pedals/ And recently chose bass chorus pedals in this way, which is very convenient and makes it possible to immediately understand all the pros and cons of the desired model.

For the bass players here, check out Stenback. If you go down the rabbit hole, check out the 5-string he made for Alex Al.
On the topic of music <-> driving, apart from auditory cues there's also a motor skills advantage. Long term skilled musicians literally have more wiring (neurons + connections) for their hands in the motor strip and sensory control areas of the brain.
Maybe the best instrument for drivers would be a pipe organ!

Not a bass player. But I have a cousin that is a professional bass player-- with the band of a very very well well known artist. His wife is a professional singer-- has worked with Cher, Willie Nelson, Toto and most recently with one of the most well-known female singers in the world. I hope to hear some of their live music in 2021.
One of the first questions I ask newbie track students is whether they have training and skills in music.. I ask this question before I ask about sports.

Not a musician, however, I suspect any skill that requires finesse enhances other skills that require finesse in a person.
(And RL never disappoints, a thread back from the dead after 4 years ).

Cool to see this thread revived. In the past year, I’ve gotten back into playing guitar, bass, and drums in a big way. Rather than just noodling, I’m taking a somewhat more organized and disciplined approach, spending a good bit of time working on exercises and understanding/application of theory, much as we do with driving. I also bought a lot of gear, and sales of music gear broke some records over the past year.

(When I first saw this thread get bumped from the dead, that's exactly what I thought this thread was about going by the thread title).

Here's some shots of a couple of rigs and the axes. I played in a cover band for about 15 years which paid for tires
