Looks like he's just making sure the pads haven't knocked back from his aggressive use of the curbs, not actually left foot braking ...

yes- I see the right foot braking but the skill in just touching the brakes with left foot to be sure no piston kick back a real skill. I guess some brake issues or is it just to transfer a little weight to the front. I need to look closer.

Bingo!

Almost every pro driver I have data and video for does this. Especially the ones that have crashed...

Every time I've looked at it, his right foot is flat enough to overwhelm any "taps" on the brake by the left toe and negate any weight transfer! <grin>

What is cool, and what I think people can learn from, is how long PAST the initiation of steering input, and into the longer turns until right down to the apex, his right foot is actuating the brakes.

No wasted time...

Big lesson in that video was watching his footwork. Look how he is firm on the brake pedal without jabbing at it or standing on it. Great touch. Like he's stepping on a cat's tail without the cat noticing. He's also very patient with his transitions from throttle to brake and back again. He's always ahead of the car in the transitions. Perfect example of why he gets paid to do it. Text book.

This is what struck me as well when watching the video.

This is for Kibort...

I'm surprised he doesn't use the left foot for braking. I was sure anyone with a transmission like that would drive it like a kart. Well, the more you know.

Love his videos. The ones with feet cameras driving 996R are just impressive. he shifts manual like a PDK.

he's very active on instagram and posting to his youtube channel.
Nothing on his next gig.
Just enjoying building and driving safari cars and his Subaru rally car.

I stumbled on that video the other day and was hooked. That car has an insane amount of power. My car with a full tilt 997 3.8 rsr motor looks in slow motion compared to the way that thing pulls. The driving is phenomenal. One thing that struck me is how light the brake pressure looks. Almost like they are running power assist! Maybe just an optical illusion.

Can someone explain why there is a clutch pedal? Was it converted to PDK from sequential?

Not a PDK. Pneumatic shifter using paddles instead of a stick...

Split about 50/50 in the top ranks... still biased towards RFB. Doesn't seem to make a difference in lap times...
