Shades of the 993 GT-1?

Closer video here:

White car is more put together than the black one, which is running various bits.

Are those the 919 mirrors (on bespoke stalks)?

Can't wait to see the final at Rolex 24.

Rear wheels/tires look narrow on that car. Is that just because the car is so wide or because of rules? Looks great, sounds way better than F1 car.

Car looks great, but the rear diffuser looks like backyard job.

Interesting Aero going on - The rear spoiler is set back = looks like the mirrors on the white on also could have some canards/surface for downforce (although in a low pressure area)

looks like they need to do some clean up around the diffuser after they get some data.

"With the roadgoing 911, Porsche has been discretely moving the engine forward in the chassis with each new generation, so this might be the ultimate expression of that strategy."

Looks like a regular 911. I can't wait to see inside. This should help fix several weaknesses they now have against Ferrari and Audi. Good luck!

Black one looks like Dez's TT car. Only slower.

The car is believed to be turbo although i could not really hear anything that would say turbo in the video.

the car is just vicious however!

It's faint.
@ 0:05-0:06 right before tire lock up I hear what seems to be a turbo spinning on over run and not gear noise.

Default 2017 991 RSR Mid Engined ?

Check out the details. Could the next gen RSR be turbo and Mid engined ? 8 cylinder ?
Diffuser looks like it's placed right there where the flat-6 used to be.
Pretty Damn Exciting !!!

It's not what I hear but what I don't hear, and what I don't hear are rev's. This points to keeping a turbo inside of its efficiency range.

FWIW I heard from a local that they were testing at Rd Atl and apparently (unsubstantiated) the car did a 1:14'. If correct, to put it in perspective, Ford topped quali with a 1:18 at this year's Petit.

I guess not impossible if running underweight and unrestricted but hard to imagine that kind of delta. Any times from Sebring?
