Default Dye for cooling system?

In my Spec Boxster I don't use coolant, but instead water with some Water Wetter. The resulting "water" is colorless, and very difficult to see the level in the coolant tank. At least, it's not easy to see at a glance, especially when full. I'd like to have it brightly colored like coolant, so that it's easy to see the level. Am I just not using enough concentration of (bright pink) Water Wetter? Or, is there a dye that can be used? I've found UV dyes for coolant systems, but they're for leak tracing using a UV light to see evidence of leaks with tell-tales on the outside.

Never tried it but how about food coloring? Should be pretty benign.
