Default FOR SALE: Trailex Model CT-8045

Thanks to all who have helped me establish a value for my Trailex. I have a person who has put a deposit down on an $8,000 purchase price BUT will not be able to pay for it until Spring. He knows that if I find a buyer sooner (my preference) then he gets his deposit back.

So I'll ask $7500 and see what happens.

Here are the specs on the trailer. It is about 7 years old and I am the second owner. Have had it for 3 years and only used once to bring a car to Maine from Virginia. Has been stored in my shop ever since. Everything on the trailer is either new or near new. When I bought it, my friend went over it top to bottom. Installed new brakes, tires, wheels (including spare wheel and tire), front end shield, bearings and winch. It was lightly used when I bought it. Previous owner only used it 3-4 times a year for Porsche Club events. A comparable new trailer from Trailex retails for $11,706. See below for options.

Trailex Model CT-8045 $7335 (with surge brakes)
Tool Box (2) 908
Tire Rack 723
Front Shield 732
Hand Winch 289
Enclosed Aluminum Floor 904
Spare Tire and Wheel 321
Upgraded Wheels 362
Reflective Striping 132

Total $11,706 new....transportation from Ohio extra

$7500

Let me know if you have any questions. Merry Christmas!

***Trailer is located in Bangor, Maine***

Yup. Many of you probably know Jeff Curtis in Chesapeake, VA as he is the one that did all of the work on the trailer a couple of years ago. He is truly a master in "pimping" things out! Cheers.

I have the same trailer with the exception of the bulkhead and love it. I can barely feel it behind the truck and this one looks new. It's a huge value at $8k. I have an enclosed now, but still keep the trailex because it is so versatile.

The guy with the deposit hopes it doesn't sell also! These are getting harder and harder to find. Thanks for the input. Cheers.

I love mine. Very well built. If you have a Cayenne or X5, this is the perfect trailer.

Have a week before my friend heads south so if anyone on the east coast is interested we'll need to get the ball rolling soon. Cheers.
