Default New England tracks

Quick question -

Besides Lime Rock and Watkins Glen ... what other great tracks do folks recommend? Lime Rock is my local track ... and its fun; but after I did Watkins Glen last year it totally blew my mind away.

I am looking for tracks like Watkins Glen .... any suggestions?

thanks!

This will be a popular thread!

Mosport (CTMP), LCMT, VIR, Road Atlanta, Road America, Mid-Ohio, in distance rings going out... To name a few.

Closer to home, Palmer, NJMP TBolt and Lightning, Summit Point, maybe Tamworth someday...

I live in CT and drive my car to and from events. Only do weekend events due to work.

Some of those are amazing; but I cant do things like VIR as its a 9 hour drive from where I live. Ive looked online and have found a bunch of stuff like Palmer, Premier in NJ; Pocono; Summit ... but dont know anything about those tracks.

Again, the Glen totally blew my mind away ... I want to find a track like that!!

I'm in CT and drive my car to events as well, Palmer is definitely worth trying, about 30 minutes east of Springfield., challenging and technical. from new haven NJMP is around 3 1/2 hours and worth the trip, I haven't been to summit point personally but have heard good things, 5 1/2+ hours from me though. Once club motorsports (Tamworth) opens it'll probably be worth the trip as well

Tremblant has many of the virtues of WGI plus the Blues Festival during North East Region 3-day in earlier July.
Come to that and make it a family vacation.

There is also Thomson in Eastern Connecticut. It'll never be my favorite track but it is a track. Sort of like a large autocross.

Palmer and LRP are my favorite New England tracks. NHMS ranks at the bottom (no flow and very bumpy in places) with Thompson one step above NHMS.

First of all no other NE tracks compare to the Glen, so get that out of your head.

Palmer (Whiskey Hill) has some great features and once done will be a fantastic place to run. Right now I would say my favorite tracks within 5 hours travel from CT are;

1. Watkins Glen
2. Thunderbolt at NJMP
3. Limerock Park (for it's history)
4. Summit Point (Main)
5. Whiskey Hill at Palmer MP (will move to 3rd when done)
6. Lightning at NJMP

You're gonna put Palmer ahead of Lime Rock?!

BLASPHEMY!

Northeast list should always start:

1. Watkins Glen
2. Lime Rock
3. all others

My experience is on two wheels, but have you tried Calabogie? It's probably my favorite track in the Northeast, with the possible exception of VIR North.
