Default Roux Helmets?

Does anybody know anything about this new brand of helmets? It seems to offer integrated electronics, but my searches for reviews have been fruitless.

By integrated electronics, do they mean a setup with ear muffs like Stilho, or using ear buds?

Yes. Earmuffs will be wired for sound with a mic. Your radio harness will plug right into the helmet. Adapters will be available for chatterbox. Not sure about earbud use, but most users ditch their earbuds once they realize the muffs are wired for sound.

Look nice. What's the helmet cooling all about? That would set them apart. Any idea what the fit compares to in other helmets?

The Kevlar composite helmets and up will feature 1/4" tubing piped in the helmet that would connect through a cool shirt or fast system. Y hoses need developed to work with the systems and Roux is working on those right now.

All helmets will also feature a safety removal system so that emergency workers can safely remove the helmet while avoiding stress on the neck.

The helmets will definitely be something new on the market. We are excited to be a dealer for this new, innovative product line

I believe the helmets are being made in China (like a lot of other brands...).

Roux is a company owned by one of two brothers named Leroux from Dominican Republic who race in IMSA and Toto Lassallay who owns Speedcom.

I have seen the prototype and it had some pretty innovative features. For example, the plug with the cooling fluid and radio was a single plug which is designed to "pop-off" by pressing/hitting a button on it.

This was one of my concerns since the helmet will have a lot of connections (radio, cooling and drink) and you want to be able to jump out of the car in case of emergency. Toto was very confident of the design and it looked well thought out.

The removal system is quite ingenious and does not require emergency workers to have a pump or any tools like the "release" system.

I am waiting to see the final products before I decide which way I am going.

Where it is made makes a big difference for some people, I tend to shy away from "Made in China" when it has anything to do with structural integrity, just my personal thing. While I know that all things that come out of China are not sub par I have seen enough to where I just tend to shy away from them.

The Roux bags look great and I am in the market for one so I will be looking at those.

In my current helmet locker I have a .....
Stand 21, made in France.
Simpson, made in the USA.
Arai, made in Japan.
And a Bell, made in the USA.

I believe Stilo is made in Italy, although I am not 100% sure.
And Impact is made in the USA.

I do like the features of the Roux, and the estimated prices so I will look closer at it when there are actual helmets to check out and try on.
Tell us your thoughts and comparisons to other brands when you get one in your hands.

Thank you,
