Also that "Miata" does not go like any Miata I have driven. It still accelerates hard in 4th gear, the ones I drove did not and would even seem to LOSE speed going up the esses at the Glen, flat out.

Obviously the guy is doing sub 8 min lap times, so that's not your average Miata nor average driver...

Had a student in a 356 pass a 928 at Mont Tremblant some years ago. Pretty sure it wasn't the car.

Clearly the GT3 driver was allergic to apexes and being cautious. The MX5 would definitely not be stock and that guy can obviously peddle. Result not surprising.
