I've done 275 or so track days and still hesitate when I see a red flag.
Not so much 'what's that?' more so 'how will I handle this?'
Practice for me (and for my students) would make me a better driver.

Agreed with this because you also have to worry about what everyone else is going to do.

Whenever I see a flag my first instinct is to look in my rear view mirror. Some people throw out the anchor if they see any flag and then some people blow past them.

Last year a corner worker at LRP was trying to black flag an individual car but everyone wound up coming in because it wasn't shown furled or pointed. That is a better result than everyone just ignoring it.
