Default IndyCar or NASCAR?

An Indiana man grabbed his fiancée by the throat during an alcohol-infused argument over whether IndyCar is better than NASCAR on Sunday.

David Lee Wilson, 57, said he choked his girlfriend for "talking trash about NASCAR."

Whatever class you choose, the race should be 10 laps long. It never gets exciting till the last 10 laps on Ovals....everything before is a waste.

You did not need to mention "alcohol-infused." That is a given.

Gees, if I looked like that, I'd strangle myself!!!

I always say Nice Afternoon Snooze on Couch And Recliner is boring, but the drivers are incredibly good.... I'd like to see them in a real race with real race-cars where they belong.

CART used to be the best racing series in the world until that greedily little spoiled rat-faced creep (aka Tony George) destroyed it. I'd love to see a come-back, but I think open-wheel racing/Indycar has become irrelevant to most people today.

F1 is a great party interrupted by some stupid race.

IMHO endurance Sports-car (WEC/Tudor or whatever..) racing is the most relevant... legitimate cars raced by actual manufacturers... but the races are really long... not good TV.

Moto-GP, Australian Super-cars, DTM... that's good stuff.

It doesn't get much better than NASCAR at The Glen.

I recall similar arguments over torque vs. hp. Hmmm ... where was that?

BTCC tops for me, great "balance of power" approach, small teams, good format for TV viewing.

Alternatively, WTCC has the heavy FIA/French hand all over it for Citroën

I like indycar, even the roundy-round. The newer style cars pass like SRF's--the driver in second or third spot inevitably and consistently passes. Much more fun to watch than nascar.

For the first time in 10 years, the TV audience for the Indy 500 was bigger than NASCAR's Coca Cola 600.

Agree, I just wish there was consistant and timely coverage on the internet and/or TV....or maybe I just can't find it. Nothing better than working on the car while watching the race on a weekend.

Yes! Finally someone has had the guts to speak the truth. Notice how you never see his weasel face anymore?

BTW, if he looked like that, I'd hate to see his "girlfriend".

You're from the 'hood... back in the day...

I used to go to Nazareth for the CART races, and how awesome was that... here it was...

Mario and Michael Andretti,
Rick Mears
Emerson Fittipaldi
Nigel Mansell
Greg Moore
Bobby Rahall
Paul Tracy
Arie Lyendyk
Al Unser Jr

Probably 5 great drivers I'm forgetting....

Wheel to wheel at 220 mph, but you'd walk through the paddock, and there would be Bobby Rahall with 10 people telling war stories and signing autos.

We talked to Mario Andretti for 20 minutes... just BS-ing with the plebs... it was like a PCA club race.

If you stood on the pedestrian bridge when the cars went under you, you could feel the breath get sucked out of your lungs....

Then there's a story about Lyendyk and my wife...

Ya bro, I'm from that hood! I didn't miss a single Nazareth race. Also went to Pocono and Meadowlands a few times. Those were the glory days.

You forgot one other big name
Danny Sullivan

I was probably standing next to you while you were rapping with Mario.
We used to get golf cart rides with Rick Mear's and Bobby Rahal's wives. Paul Tracy's dad was a riot. Such fun times.
