I used to run Blacks (14) and before that Yellow (29)/Black. There were a few times that I ran the Blacks down really thin and I didn't notice any major drop off.

That being said, the bed-in procedure that is absolutely necessary for the Pagids is ridiculous. After several seasons of developing horrible deposits on my rotors (because of improper bedding), I finally gave up and switched to PFC and I could not be more happy. The performance is excellent and the wear is even better. And no bed-in procedure required.
