Watching the race now on DVR...did anyone notice how few spectators there were ? Even the main straightaway grandstands had a LOT of empty seats...

Yea, that was an eye opener because past years have been jam packed. But should we really be surprised? What's compelling about going to an F1 race now? With the exception of yesterday, it's a forgone conclusion whose going to win. The piercing sounds of a V8 roaring by at 18,000 rpm is gone.

To be quite honest, I just thought about Canada today and how the USD goes a long way, but have no interest in going to the Canadian GP. Have no interest in going to Austin for that matter either and I'm their hardcore customer....

I thought this is the wake up call Mercedes needed. It was a kick in the butt. And Vettel's comments raised more questions in my mind about Freeari and Bernie's "special relationship".

And Vettel is in Nico's head, big time.
