Track Tires 964 C4 16"
Hi guys!
I'm tracking my 964 C4.
I'm looking for the best tire possible in 16" as I plan do track my D90s (not too heavy and enough sidewall to be progressive).
I'm looking for a tire for dry weather and it doesn't have to be street legal.
I only do DE.
Sizes are 205/55/16 and 225/50/16.
I looked at the Toyo R888 but was advised against it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
JB

You might be better off buying a set of 17 inch wheels for your track days ... not many tire choices left in 16 inches anymore, actually you won't find too many people running 16 inch wheels at the Rennsport DE's !
A lot of guys are happy with the Nittos,i ran two full DE seasons with my 911 on one set after flipping them ... very good bang for the dollar !
Cheers

I have the D90s already.
If i were to buy another set of wheels, I'd just buy 18s (OZ Allegerita for example). So much more choice.
I have a set of Cup 1s in 17 as a street wheel, too heavy for the track

I think PCA should have a rule about r-comp tires.
1) Instructed groups must use street tires
2) Solo drivers may use R-Comps once they have had a beer with an existing R-Comp driver and listened to them **** and moan about how expensive they are and how they dont last... and most importantly how there is no way to go back...

If you are going to jump in, might as well go straight to the deep end.... Hoosier has they sizes you need in R7.
