How was the weather? The weather forecast for the LSRPCA event at TWS was really ****ty, high 50s with 60% chance of rain on Sat and 90% on Sunday.
The actual weekend was gorgeous. 55-65 and no rain during the day. It rained overnight Sat, which made all the Sunday first sessions wet, but by the second Sun AM session track was dry and really hooking up.
For me it was epic, I had two great students and I was able to reel in and pass the instructor and friend that gave me my first "E-Ticket" ride in the instructor run group back when I started this crazy hobby. The fond memory of "holy ****, they do that?!" has transformed into "holy ****, I do that!" (It wouldn't have happened without the help of a lot of great people and a bit of "extravagant" private coaching.)
Hate to think I would have missed it by looking at the weather forecast and staying home...

I had a blast taking friends and family out for some track time. My mother-in-law in particular had a great time.
Due to the weather, I brought the Boxster. Knife in a gunfight.
After I let the 1%'ers fly by, to steal a phrase from VR's FB posts,
I usually had several laps before I had to drive with eyes in the back of my head again :-)
I tried to convince the folks of the other low slung gray P-car to let me compare the two, but it had done some track based rear end mods and had called it a weekend :-(

Yes...it was a bit sad to see the CGT with rear end damage. Looked like exhaust, defuser, and a few other cosmetic parts....I hope.
Don't think there was too much damage to other cars.
We were testing the Pirrelli World Challenge Volvo. Good test for both dry and wet setups.

Volvo
Around the paddock it sounds like a diesel truck. Kind of strange...
Looking forward to PWC at COTA in a few weeks. Hope folks will come out to the event. Looks like a good field of GT, GTS and TC cars.
The guy driving the Volvo this weekend was Nate Stacy. He is a very young driver. Finished 2md in the TCB championship last year. Hoping to improve this year. I'm working with Nate as his driver coach. Still some time to find, but for his first outing at COTA we were pleased.
