AIM Solo 0-60 measurements with rollout?
Hi,
just got an Aim Solo to do some performance testing. Does anyone know if it can be configured to measure 0-60 with a 1 ft rollout?
Thanks
Dave

Yes. Go to the 'Performance Mode' and you will have the choices of 0-60mph, 1/8mi, and 1/4mi performance tests.
I am not sure exactly what you mean by '1 ft rollout' but the Solo uses advanced memory and calculation techniques that allow the Solo to accurately calculate time and distance for these Performance tests from a standing start.
Here is the Solo manual in a .pdf form if you would like more detail: http://www.aim-sportline.com/downloa...lo_100_eng.pdf

"rollout" is used so that the average user can compare results obtained at the dragstrip since timing does not begin timing until the front wheel has crossed the sensor, hence the 1 foot rollout. All the major US magazines will report 0-60 times with the 1 foot rollout. It should also be noted that European magazines don't report 0-60 with the rollout which is one reason why their 0-60 times are slightly slower.
The standard for measuring performance is the Vbox which gives the user the option to report 0-60 either with or without the 1 ft rollout and I was wondering if the AIM Solo had a similar option...
