I can't answer about the "sweet spot," like the X6's, but I can tell you that we were as quick on the sixth heat cycle as we were on the third. Consistency was terrific, and we wore out before we slowed down.

I went through two sets on my 2011 M3 sedan, and liked them very much. This was after three sets of NT01s. I got about 16 heat cycles / 4 DE days out of the RRs, running in Advanced. By comparison, I would typically be able to make a set of NT01s last a whole season of 10 DE events by rotating them all around (square setup).
The RRs were very grippy and consistent, but became very slippery when pressures ran too high (above 39 psi hot on the 3600lb M3). They don't squeal like an NT01 at the limit, but they still do communicate audibly. They allowed me to be faster than about everything other than GT3s, GTRs, and Z06s in my 4-door sedan.
Now I have the dilemma of finding a good daily driver / track combo tire for my 991 Carrera S...

The early builds were chunking and splitting badly. These are still handmade tires so I think Toyo has does some qc work to improve build consistency. It is a PIA to have to swap tires on corners instead of just front to back. You get used to it. I have to run them as a spec tire. Would have been happy to stick with the RA1's and be a couple seconds slower.

Had this condition with the first two sets of RR's. Have been getting the later 2013 build dates and the issue is now cosmetic and usually heals itself.

I got some good advice about starting pressures. They aren't like RA1's in that respect so I started higher. During the enduro at Sebring they got over 45 psi at the pitstop. Backed them to 35 psi and they felt good but I think they may like to be higher than that.

Good info here.
We did a lot of back to back testing with National Championship caliber drivers in 944 Spec. There was an interesting phenomenon, that while stickers felt a little better, and came into grip more quickly, in each of 6 tests the old tires (average 18 heat cycles) were ultimitely a hair faster in ultimate lap times in 944 Spec. The difference was small enough that it was likely a wash, but it their consistancy was amazing. We'd also set fast lap at the end of a 4+ hour enduro. Stickers were slightly more consistant, but not outright faster.
They do like more camber, and will cord the outside edge quickly if without agressive camber (approaching 4 degrees on the front a a 944 Spec car). They like a few lbs less pressure than an RA-1 in our expience. With the right setup, we got life at least the equal of the recent RA-1's.
They were a good 2 seconds faster on most tracks. At Road America, it was at least 3 seconds (got down to 2:42's on 135 RWHP). No track record was left standing. The split issue was a big deal in the beginning, but not now, with following the recomendations and newer batches of tires.

Test and use a tire pyrometer to set pressures!!!
Every one will have a different working pressure. If you want to be fast and have the tire last you have to fine tune!
