Rennpoints has been updated. Well, partially, it's not showing any points for Sprint 2.

Big shout out to Marty K., the guy who got this event to a signed contract in the 11th hour. The event was months and months in the making and he brought it home when many doubted. When all seemed lost, MK hung tough. This event was damn near cancelled. Plus, this was his first ever club race chair, making the task even more amazing. But, he's from Pa., so really not that big a surprise, he comes from the best. Add to that this was the first club race for Monticello. Quite the accomplishment.
Speaking for the 944 Cup racers, if I can take the liberty, I can say MK was the best in making this the best 944 Cup Nationals the series has ever had in its 13 seasons. All the 944 drivers owe him. The weekend came off seamlessly. I Just can't remember anything going wrong. Hope you he comes back for another year.
Ps. Not to be forgotten are PCA'ers Vick E. and Mike A., also instrumental in making Monticello happen. I know this event would never got to MK with0ut them. I am sure others in PCA were involved that I have not mentioned, thank you!
PPS. The there was the surprise of the weekend when we found at the Friday drivers' meeting that none other than Brian Redman was to be the Grand Marshall for the event. This guy is a legend and to make it event better he is beyond approachable. The stories Brian has about racing back in the day when Porsche earned its oats in endurance racing are just incredible. I would argue that the factory drivers from Brian's era made Porsche what it is today in the racing world.
Brian answered ever question asked of him, had more than a few beers with us, never said no to a picture ( and they were countless), and and dined out with us. A tremendous addition to the weekend. Thanks to Monticello for arranging to get Brian at the track for the weekend.
Shown here are from left to right, Brian, Rochelle (our lovely trophy girls), Denny Hiffman (944 Cup Midwest Champ) and Jenna, another of our trophy girls.
