OT - Yukon XL Brakes
I originally posted in 993 area, and was directed here...
I need to replace the front rotors on our 2007 Yukon XL Denali. The rotors have a tendency to warp rather quickly. Not looking to get into a discussion of whether they warp, or if it is deposition of pad material etc...
But would like recommendation of better than OE quality rotors if there are any. I have seen Stop Tech, Hawk and EBC rotors available.
Truck is used mostly around town, but do tow a 28 ft boat with it from time to time. Any recommendations?

I put the GM police package OEM rotors on mine with EBC yellows. So far so good, about 5,000 miles. I tow a 16 ft small block airboat with it and the brakes are so much better from speed. Bought mine on sale on EBay but Rock Auto is good too.

They are horrible, first thing I would upgrade if I ever owned another. LOved every other aspect of my Suburbans ,but I would definitely put the big brakes in the next one. Seems like my 3/4 ton Subs stopped way better than the 1/2s, perhaps there's a way to upgrade to the 3/4 brakes easily?

Yes the 3/4 ton versions have gigantor multi-piston calipers, especially in the front. Brakes are excellent.

Thanks for the information. I found an AC Delco Severe duty rotor that is the Raybestos D300 series rotor. Will try that.
