FS: killer tow vehicle - 2002 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 8.1 Vortec w/Allison trans
hey guys. this is my Dad's truck which he bought brand new; when he passed away in 2009, he left it to his long time companion and she has been using it ever since to tow a 2 horse trailer for fox hunting. it's a 2002 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 LS longbed. it's equiped with the 8.1 liter Vortec big block, and the Allison transmission with 4.10 gears. it has power locks, power windows, AC, cruise, premium sound with CD, dark blue cloth interior. mileage is less than 30k orig miles (she needs to check on that to be exact; she thinks its about 26k miles. truck is at the farm where she boards her horses). it's in immaculate shape; it's inspected and zero body damage ever. no rust. never smoked in. brand new tires on it. always serviced. she's not going to be riding anymore, and needs to sell it, and has asked me if I will help her. it's set up to tow a gooseneck and/or a tag-along. full wiring for both and has the big receiver in the back for a tag too, along with an electric brake controller. this thing tows like the trailer isn't even on there (pulls as well as a diesel; I own the exact same truck except mine is a 2003 with extended cab). she is asking $10,500 (she has the title outright). truck is located near Kennett Square PA. contact me with any questions you might have. thanks.

great trucks......that big block will pull down a house....my friend has one just like this but 4 door.....pulls his 8000lb enclosed trailer like nothing.....mileage isn't great...around 8mpg pulling that trailer....but my 1500 chevy gets great mileage with little trailers (open 5000lb) 15mpg, but gets only 10mpg pulling the big trailer....so 8 isn't that bad
