I have started a petition to have the PCA Club Racing Committee publish rules governing overtaking and the issuance of a 13. Let's all sign the petition and get our racing friends to as well to show the rules committee that the majority of racers would like to see this happen and not just the noisy guys on Rennlist.

While we all are quick to submit rules change proposals regarding our cars, I have never seen any proposals regarding the 13 rule. Maybe we should work this issue through the normal rules change process when it is opened up for comments regarding next season.

Rules suggestion period closed on 1-June if I recall. This would be for rules and modifications to be considered for 2014 rulebook.

I agree that information on overtaking should be included.

I like the idea, but I wonder if the petition language is too vague. Could it include some more information describing what's missing or is poorly worded in the current rules? Or maybe some examples of inconsistent application of the rules?

I've always believed that you'll get better support when presenting a problem, if you can also provide some ideas/thoughts about solutions.

I would agree with ProCoach that this would be far more productive if done offline an personally.
Stewards are given flexibility to make decisions right now and the rub out and no single car 13 are places they use that. Trying to box them in will be counterproductive.

If you want to learn how to pass then hire a coach, if you hit people who are passing you, stop blocking or increase your awareness.
