Are there any spots where you can park an RV and watch from the roof?
(this is how we did it 2-3 times in Hungaroring and it worked great)
I didn't get around the facility much as I was dragging around 2 little kids. But, it didn't appear that the RV thing was possible there.

not true, there is RV parking for about 20 on the back straight between 11 and 12...

but IIRC it was ~24k for the weekend. It was fillled with rockstar tour bus type RVs. One had a 360 CS _AND_ a 430 Scuderia.

I was in one of those RV spots and we hardly ever watched from there. You can't really see much. We had seats in T9 and T11. Both are good locations, but I think the T12-T15 might be better.

I think you're kidding, but just in case

Team transports were on the infield between those turns.

RV spots were outside the safety fence between the grandstands. If you walked or took the tram from T12 to T11 (you had to exit the track and re-enter again) you walk right by them. Since you said you didn't walk much, you wouldn't have noticed as I don't think they were viewable from your granstands (unless you were at the edge looking up the straight.)

I fully agree. We sat quite close to you guys and saw all the passing action at the end of the straight and the following corners 13 - 15

You must have been sitting almost directly behind me ;-)

Individual tickets are on sale, but Ticketmaster's online system is a joke. You can't select specific seating locations, it just gives one seat location, take it or leave it.

Can't find a hotel room either.

We have 4 PSL's under the overhang across from the pits, about equidistant from T20 and T1, with an excellent view of both. Plus, they are mere steps from the nice club/restaurant/bar as well as indoor finished bathrooms (which the ladies seem to appreciate). We sold 2 to a Rennlister for the inaugural race, and will likely do the same this year as well.

it looks like there are some seats available in row 3 and in row 30. i'd rather not be behind the fence. was the grandstand high enough to clear the fence at row 3?

Turn 12 FTW. Almost all passing was done there last year, including Hammy's pass on Vettel to get the pole, and eventual win.

Great info here, thanks. I'm looking to get a couple of tickets and it sounds like T12 is the place. Probably will get them from Stubhub. Anyone done the $200 parking?? Is the shuttle a better option?
