Sorry for the shameless plug (at least he's a board sponsor...), but I spent this last weekend at MSR Cresson with Dave Scott a.k.a. Veloce Raptor and I have to say that it was an incredibly valuable experience.

He worked with me in the new SP996 that was just finished at the end of September. The main issue was definitely the driver - this is a new car and wholly new platform for me. Secondly, I needed help getting the setup right.
Dave was able to bring down my best time by almost 2 seconds and hit those times consistently. Most importantly he helped me to become way more comfortable with the car, it's capabilities and limits. Seriously, it's like a new car to me.

There were a lot of good coaches to choose from that are very talented and were more local to me. But, I'm a big believer in supporting those that support the RL community, such as Dave. It turned out to be a great decision. Plus, it helps that he's just a great guy overall.

I would add my very positive experience with Dave here as well. He provided me in-car instruction during the solo events at Winterfest last week. He also co-drove with me during the six-hour enduro, which we split pretty equally throughout the event. And he was available all weekend to answer questions, clear up concerns or just provide guidance about how things worked at these events. He's a very, very good instructor (and a damn good driver as well). Instruction was clear, concise and to the point. He made it real, understandable and gave it in chunks that could be implemented quickly. His style is very positive, even when delivering negative feedback. If schedules permit I hope to work with him again at the PBOC event at Road Atlanta next month. Thanks Dave!
