Default '88 924S 944-SPEC For Sale (SoCal)





1988 Porsche 924S. Fully prepped, running, ready to race (just add window and right-side net). Car has never been “raced.” Mainly used for auto-x and the occasional DE. Title in hand.

Chassis- 1988 924S (10.2:1 compression engine, short 5th gear)

Front Suspension
Ground Control coilover kit
400# hypercoil 8 inch springs
Ground Control Camber plates
Weltmeister caster block control arm bushings
Delrin front control arm bushings
Koni yellow dampeners (replaced in 2008)
Upper strut tie-bar
27mm M030 swaybar
Poly inner sway bar bushings
Hawk Blue brake pads (90%)

Rear Suspension
Sway-a-way 30mm Torsion Bars
Koni yellow shocks (replaced in 2010)
Weltmeister inner and outer poly spring plate bushings
Weltmeister inner and outer poly Torsion bar bushings
22mm adjustable Weltmeister sway bar
Street brake pads
Axles rebuilt in 2007
Stage8 locking axles bolts

Engine
1988 engine, 165k miles
Rod bearings replaced in 2007
Motor mounts in 2007
AC delete bracket
951 oil cooler
6 blade radiator fans hooked up to manual switches
Replaced all radiator hoses
Engine undertray
Tubular 88 Headers
Custom exhaust with Magnaflow muffler (no cat)
Stock airbox (plus cone air filter to swap if you wish)
Coolant expansion tank replaced in 2011
Clutch replaced in 2011
Timing belt, front engine seals and water pump replaced in 2011
Remanufactured head installed in Feb. 2012

Redundant water temp gauge (sender needs to be replaced)

Exterior
Painted in 2009
No major dings or dents
Minor scuffs and blemishes (it is a track car after all)
Front and rear tow hooks
Windshield replaced (Aug 2012)

Other
Car weighs approx.. 2500 pounds
15lb motorcycle battery
Power steering has been “de-powered” to emulate manual rack
4 15 x 7 phone dials with 225/45/15 NT01s (I know they’re not spec legal, but they only have two DEs on them)
4 15 x 6 phone dials with tires for towing.

Thanks, Doc. Wish I could have put it all together to join you guys. Between the wife, house, and trying for a child, something's got to go...

I still plan to build another one down the line

Sorry, Eric, didn't see your question there. Just a simple autox/DE car I plan to share with my brother until the wife and I get some home renovation done and birth a young-un.

Price reduced to $6200 BTW. If it doesn't sell at this price, I'm keeping it.
