Yellows for track use - they will be squeakier than the RS44 Orange but ought to last 30-40 percent longer and have better track performance. Now that said, I ran Oranges on 3 different Porsches I had and liked them for dual purpose usage. The great thing about huge pad sizes is it is more forgiving to pad choices for sure!

Default GiroDisc Rotors

Craig, if I go the GiroDisc route from you on the fronts , I'd like something that looks complementary for the rears. I'll be using an S4/GTS Rear Setup with adapter brackets that will allow me to use the standard rotors from the 928 S4 & GTS. These would need to have the following specs - 299mm diameter, 71mm from top of hat to bottom of rotor disc, have a disc thickness of 24mm, a 5x130mm bolt pattern, and a 103mm diameter center hole. Porsche OEM part # is 951.352.041.01. I'd want a slotted 1-piece with black e-coating on the front & rear of the hat, on the internal rotor vanes, and on the outer rotor circumference. Do you have such a thing or can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

I would as well. None anywhere we know of - I have slotted 993TT up front and EM holed rears.

Default Rear Rotors

Craig, I'm going to PM you for a set of the GD 993 TT Rotors, but I've actually found a complementary 1-piece Rear Rotor for the 928 S4/GT/GTS fitment. It's Powerslot 12637022SL for the Slotted Left and SR for the Slotted Right and they have the Black e-coat finish on them to go with the black hats of the 2-piece GD rotors. Measurements ate 299 mm diameter, 103 mm center hole, 5x130 bolt pattern, 24 mm disc thickness, and 71 mm from the top of the rotor hat to the bottom of the rotor disc.

Carl at 928 Motorsports put the brake upgrade on my '79 928 Spyder together today. Using the brackets from their upgrade kit, we've fit Big Black GTS front Calipers with these 993TT 2-piece Girodisc Slotted Rotors with rear S4/GT/GTS calipers and complementary Powerslot slotted rotors with the black-e-coating on the hub and vanes and Hawk HPS Pads Front & Rear.

For any other 928 owners looking to do this same setup, here are the part #s (remember, you need pieces from 928 Motorsports' Kit to make these fit correctly):

GTS Big Black Left Front Caliper - 928.351.423.03
GTS Big Black Right Front Caliper - 928.351.424.03
S4/GT/GTS Black Left Rear Caliper - 928.352.421.03
S4/GT/GTS Black Right Rear Caliper - 928.352.422.03

Powerslot black e-coated Left Rear Rotor - 12637022SL
Powerslot black e-coated Right Rear Rotor - 12637022SR

Hawk Front HPS Pad Set - HB184F.650
Hawk Rear HPS Pad Set - HB170F.650

I've posted a couple of pics.

Craig, the front rotors are the ones I purchased from you and thought you might want to get the word out that they'll work on more than just the 993TT to expand your audience for them as they are of great quality. It's on the 928 Forum too, so if you'd rather I delete it, I will, just let me know.

Good time of year to work on the car - consider a set of these upgraded rotors
